GY611 Futaba’s latest SMM gyro for helicopters .60 and up, is equipped with a super-narrow pulse and high speed processor to improve servo and gyro response speeds. A high-resolution 12-built-a/d converts data from the AVCS unit into a digital signal, which minimizes rudder neutral position drift and any need to trim the rudder during flight. The GY611 comes with a equally advanced S9256 high speed digital servo for optimum performance.

SMM or silicon micro machine technology Gyros feature 18 highly precise sensors, all mounted on a high density chip (the size of a pencil point).

AVCS or angular velocity control system is the positive form of tail control available for hovering and crosswind flying. Sensors in the gyro will send a constant stream of signals to the servo, even when the tail is at rest. With this data, the gyro will trim for side winds automatically and almost eliminating the need for trim changes by the pilot.
